Frequently Asked Questions
- Will the treatments hurt my kids or pets?
Our state certified technicians are well trained to handle all pesticides with respect to human safety and the environment. Our products are labeled for use in hospitals, daycare facilities, and restaurants. Often times these products are more expensive, but Are Bull's Eye Pest Control believes strongly in choosing the safest approach to solving each pest occurrence, and of course, all materials we use are registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). If any special precautions need to be implemented, all of our customers will be notified before service is rendered.
- I was just treated yesterday. How is it that I still see bugs?
It takes time to flush out pests from the cracks, crevices and wall voids! Our products are designed to actually let the bugs survive for a time, usually 7-10 days before they become active. This allows the product to be shared among other members of the nest. That way we treat the disease and not the symptom.
- Do I have to sign a contract?
We ask that all of our customers receive service for at least one year. In order to break down nesting and get rid of the core problem it takes time. We do offer one time services, but don't recommend them because the bugs, although sometimes unseen, avoid treatment or find other ways of getting in. (See "How often should my home be treated?")
- Do you utilize any non-chemical methods of control?
We do. Bull's Eye Pest Control practices Integrated Pest Management (IPM) which utilizes many non-chemical control techniques such as sanitation, harborage reduction, exclusion, sealing, and environmental management. These methods, however, work best with the use of environmentally friendly products to prevent and eliminate unwanted pests.
- What do I need to do to prepare my house for treatment?
Most treatments require very little preparation if any, on the part of our customer. If a special task needs to be done, you will be notified by our office staff or technician before we begin service on your home.
- How often should my home be treated?
All products approved by the EPA are designed to break down in the environment. Services rendered every other month allow us to treat the home enough to see great results without over-using a product. If additional treatment is required, Remedy will treat the house at no extra charge to you. Treatment effectiveness sometimes varies by type of pest, likelihood of re-infestation and product longevity. Ask your Remedy pest professional about a particular circumstance and they can give you a realistic estimate.
- Will my prices ever go up?
NO! Unlike most cable companies, Bull's Eye Pest Control offers a price protection guarantee. As product prices, gas, and value of the dollar rise, our prices for active customers will not.
- When is payment due?
Our customers have a variety of options when it comes to payment. Within 30 days of service is the standard. If it is impossible to remit payment before 10 days we understand, but a courtesy phone call will be appreciated. Some people choose to give their payment to the Bull's Eye technician the day the service is completed. Others will wait a couple of days for their bill to arrive in the mail. Bull's Eye also accepts credit card payments made over the phone, or PayPal payments made online. Life gets hectic so whatever method fits you best is fine.
- Do you guys take care of more than just bugs?
Yes! Treatments for gophers, bees and pigeons are available. Call for a quote.
- I am considering a do-it-yourself alternative. What is the bottom line on pesticide risk?
The do-it yourselfer often chooses over-the-counter products that are much more toxic than the professional materials we utilize. In addition to this mistake, the homeowner is not trained in the application methods we use that eliminate any exposure to people and pets. The correct pesticide products must be mixed properly and administered correctly to be both safe and effective! Like haircuts and surgery, some things should just be left to the pros.
- Is Bull's Eye locally owned?
Yes! Bull's Eye Pest Control is locally owned and operated right here in Southern California. Keep your dollars here! Service is now available for residential and commercial in the following counties:
- San Diego County

- What are my guarantees?
Both the interior and exterior of your home or office is always under warranty. If between regularly scheduled treatments the customer feels that additional service is needed, Bull's Eye will return an re-service the home at no extra charge.
- What's the difference between the products you use and the products I can get at the hardware store?
We are professional grade! We do not treat the homes of our customers with cheap off brand products. Our customers appreciate the fact that we take pride in offering only the best. Our products last longer in the environment. Our products are allowed to be stronger. Our products are designed to take care of the root of the problem, not "just the ones you see." You need time to spend with your family or to rest. We apply our products with a guarantee! If you want to "kill" pests, get a shoe or some hairspray. If you want to "get rid of" your pests call Bull's Eye!
